The Eternal, Lord of the Universe, the All-Poerful and terrible, wassilent. what had I to thank him for? (31). This is Elies first sign oflosing faith. In his mind he wondered how a god, so great and wonderful hasnthelped out his people, But rather let them see how cruel people can be. Eliesaid this after he had witnessed babies sent to their doom in a pit of fire. Howcould he not ask his god why he hasnt done anything. A boy of 15 years oldshould not witness this, nor should anyone witness these acts of hatred. Never shall I forget those flames which consumed my faith forever.(32) From that moment on, Elie had no reason to believe in God. The flames whichMadame Schachter had spoke about on the train. If only they realized it sooner. God, the most important role in human civilization was going to let theslaughter of innocent people go on in his world. Many people lost faith duringthis time. The sight of someone being beaten infront of you, but knowing that ifyou help, itll be even worse for you. Never shall I forget that nocturnalsilence which deprived me, for all eternity, of the desire to live. Never shallI forget those moments which murdered my god and my soul and turned my dreams todust. Never shall I forget these things even if I am condemmed to live as longas God Himself, forever. Never. (32) Something so powerful it could murder aonce very religous boys faith forever. He would never be able to turn back likehe once did, to ask God Why?. God lives forever, Elie will neverforget these images inprinted in his mind. It is too hard to forget somethingthat impacts yourself, you life, and the people around you in such a way thatyou lose all the faith you have. No matter how much you had to begin with, youcan lose it in an instance. Just like Elie, no longer can he pray at night, nolonger can he look in the sky and say to himself Im lucky to have such agreat god to look over me. I had new shoes myself. But as they were coatedwith a thick layer of mud, no one had noticed them. I thanked god, in animprovised prayer, for having created mud in His infinite and wonderfuluniverse. Question: Discuss about the Economics for Principles, Problems, and Policies. Answer: Introduction: The Bagels and Cream cheese are complementary goods. As demand for bagels rises, the demand for cream cheese will also increase and when demand for bagels falls the demand for cream cheese also declines. As the equilibrium price of cream cheese has risen the equilibrium quantity of bagels has fallen. This is because, as the price rises, the demand for cream cheese has fallen. Since, cheese cream and bagels are complementary goods, the demand for bagels will decline as well. The equilibrium quantity of bagels declined not because of the rise in price of flour but due to the rise in price of milk. Due to rise in price of milk, the cost of production of cream cheese has risen. The rise in cost of production will induce the producer to cut down the production of cream cheese. Therefore, there will be fall in supply as represented by the shift of S1 curve to S2 in panel (a). The fall in supply will lead to rise in price of cream cheese from P1 to P2. There will be a fall in demand for cheese due to price rise, as shown by the shift from Q1 to Q2. As demand for cream cheese declines, bagels demand will also fall from D1 to D2, as shown in panel (b). Fall in demand will lead to fall in equilibrium quantity of bagel, and quantity will from Q1 to Q2. If the price floor is imposed below the market clearing price, then through demand and supply mechanism price will reach at market clearing price. If the imposed flooring is set above the market clearing price, then market cannot attain equilibrium as price cannot fall below the level of price flooring. In such situation, demand for bagels will be less but there will be huge supply of it. Due to excess supply, the market will become inefficient. Due to high price of bagels, people will purchase less bagels so quantity demanded will decline. Therefore, there will a loss in the consumer surplus. On the other hand, as producer are getting high price, they will sell more and will earn high producer surplus by capturing a part of consumer surplus. However, some part of previous surplus of producers will be lost, because sellers have to forego some of its customers, who are not willing to buy bagels at high price. Social welfare is maximized when total surplus is maximised. However, due to price flooring, an amount of welfare is lost. This can be represented in the following diagram. The image of women as mother and wives was not changed after World War Two, although they willingly and heavily contributed to the safety of the country during the war. Men and employers informed women that their best asset was their capability to look after their homes and that employed women would be unlucky while looking for husband. After the war, cultural division of work b ased on gender reasserted and many women remained in their jobs, but companies maintained lower pay for women. During World War Two, women’s image changed, but it appears as temporary and superficial, and the truth was that most women went back to their traditional domestic roles during the success of the 1950s. These figures would show a transformation in attitudes and approaches that remained long after World War Two. Most people immediately after the war thought that women should abandon their jobs to allow the returning soldiers to assume their previous jobs. By the end of the war, women were included completely into the national army, even though they were mainly restricted to mostly clerical duties, such as office messengers, secretaries, clerks, and typists, and were just 2% of the labor force13. Conclusion In conclusion, the war influenced the modern trend toward a raise in the women workforce and the war brought in married women to employment sector. However, more women were almost certainly to leave the labor force after the war due to inconveniences and pressures from their men to resume traditional roles as wives and mothers.
